Code Of Conduct

Our campaign is a supportive, welcoming environment for all, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, race, ethnicity, age, religion, nationality, or income level. The staff, volunteers and team members have agreed to the following code of conduct:

In general, treat each other with respect and kindness. This campaign is built on transparency, accountability, and a vision for a world where people are motivated to support each other’s well being.

Harassment, bullying and intimidation will be confronted rather than given comfort in all campaign related materials, events, and spaces. Some examples of behavior we will confront includes:

  1. Violence, threats of violence or violent language directed against another person.

  2. Sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist or otherwise discriminatory jokes, including demeaning language toward young people, elders, Black people, Indigenous people, unhoused people, poor people and workers.

  3. Sharing or threatening to post other people’s personally identifying information.

  4. Personal insults, particularly those related to gender, sexual orientation, race, age, religion, or disability.

  5. Inappropriate physical contact. You should have someone’s explicit consent before touching them.

  6. Unwelcome sexual attention. This includes, sexualized comments or jokes; inappropriate touching, groping, and unwelcome sexual advances.

  7. Deliberate intimidation, stalking or following (online or in person).

  8. Sustained disruption of community events, including talks and presentations.
